A high-performance non non-breathable roof underslating which gives major benefits over plastic and traditional 1F bitumen-based underslating felt.
Product description
Protect 1F is a high-performance underlay for pitched roofs that prevents the ingress of dust, rain and snow into the roof void. It is made up of a three-layer construction, comprising 2 high tensile polypropylene fabric layers, fused around an impervious film and is coloured anthracite. The membrane is classed as a secondary and should be treated as such and correctly installed will provide temporary protection of up to 3 months until the primary barrier ( slates/tiles ) have been installed.
The high-performance lightweight material is clean and easy to handle, and the 45m x 1m roll size allows for easy handling. Protect 1F must be ventilated in accordance with BS5250 2021.
