Robert Price Highly Commended at the 2022 Welsh Housing Awards
The Robert Price team were delighted to be highly commended at the 2022 Welsh Housing Awards for making sustainable technologies and training more accessible.
The awards, that took place in November at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, reconised and celebrated the creativity, passion and innovation of organisations and businesses across Wales in the housing sector. The evening provided the opportunity for people to celebrate projects that have helped tenants, customers and even communities.
At the awards, Robert Price were highly commended for making sustainable building more accessible through our new Sustainable Energy Centre, which is located at our Newport branch.
Like many others, the housing sector is faced with the challenge of reducing carbon emissions, in light of the Welsh Governments’ net-zero targets for public sector entities by 2030.
With the opening of the Sustainable Energy Centre last year, we are proud to be supporting the construction sector in reaching the target of net-zero and cutting carbon emissions in Wales.
The Centre informs and educates operatives, installers, general builders and tradespeople on net-zero carbon solutions, whilst its Training Academy helps to upskill Welsh workforce, enabling the fitting and maintenance of new renewable technologies and systems.
“We are so thrilled to have been recognised for our efforts in helping the Welsh housing sector becoming greener” said Molly Pike, Marketing Director at Robert Price.
“Our primary aim with the Sustainable Energy Centre has and continues to be cutting carbon emissions through construction method improvements, and we’re delighted to have been recognised as a project that could make a real difference.”
