Robert Price donates building materials to local school for new outdoor learning area

Robert Price’s Abergavenny Branch was delighted to donate timber and marine plywood to Our Lady and St Michael’s RC Primary School to help build their outdoor learning structure.

The donation will go towards helping the school to construct a stage area, a role-play area, and a reading tepee, all of which will promote creativity and wellbeing.

Upon receiving the donation, year 3 School Teacher, Joanna Box thanked Robert price:

“We are very grateful to Robert Price their donation which will allow all our pupils to benefit from this outdoor learning zone which has a literacy focus.

‘‘Being outdoors has huge benefits for our children’s well-being as well as their learning.”

When contacted by the school, Robert Price was more than happy to contribute and get involved with the project. Being outdoors has huge benefits not only to children’s learning but also their well-being, which we know the new outdoor learning space will support.

Robert Price Marketing Director, Molly Pike added:

“Robert Price is delighted to be supporting Our Lady and St Michaels through the donation of timber and marine plywood to build their outdoor learning structure.

“With the school so close to our town centre branch, when the school got in touch, we were only too pleased to see how we could help.

“It is great to see our local school community investing time and effort into worthwhile projects like this and we are delighted that our support can help them complete the job.”

We all look forward to seeing how it turns out and hearing about how the children of Our Lady and St Michaels have benefitted from the learning structure.
