Ribera Spanish Natural Slate Roof Tile - Ultra Grade (500mm x 375mm)

The Ribera slate is a popular choice for roofing contractors, self-builders and architects. Flat and uniform, with neatly dressed edges and a smooth surface, the Ribera has a soft riven texture. It is unaffected by normal extremes of temperature and is highly resistant to sulphur dioxide (acid rain). It retains its colour even in strong UV light. It is non-combustible, water resistant and compatible with other building materials.

The Ribera originates from a well-established quarry region in Northern Spain. This quarry has been operating and exporting worldwide since the 1960’s.

The Ribera Ultra is available in a 5mm thickness.

Ultra Grade slates are of the finest quality and are produced from specially selected blocks extracted from the quarry. Ultra-Grade slates give a superior finish in terms of flatness and uniformity with minimal sorting and grading needed on site prior to fixing.

The Ribera Ultra slate boasts a W-1, T-1, S-1 rating, meaning it conforms and surpasses all the top UK tests for water absorption, thermal cycle resistance and sulphur dioxide exposure.
